Locum Employment Lawyer – South West – Full time – 3 months + - £55 via Umbrella

Venn Group’s specialist Public Sector Legal recruitment team is pleased to be assisting a Local Authority in the South West of England which is looking to appoint an experienced Locum Employment Lawyer to join its team.

This is a full time, remote working position for an initial term of 3 months to cover the permanent recruitment process.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified Lawyer (Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive) with demonstrable local authority experience. You will be handling a mixed and varied caseload of non-contentious matters such as staff disputes, grievances, disciplinary and conduct matters including gross misconduct cases, dismissals and absence management. This role may also involve advising on Working Time Regulations, Part-Time Workers Regulations, Fixed-Term Employees Regulations, Public Interest Disclosures (Whistleblowing), recruitment, volunteering & voluntary work, pre-employment checks, Health and Safety in the Workplace, TUPE queries and Policies & Procedures.          

An hourly umbrella rate of £55 is offered for this role.
