A prestigious Legal 500 firm based in Guildford is seeking a skilled and experienced General Litigation Solicitor to join their dynamic team. About the Role:
As a General Litigation Solicitor, you will handle a diverse caseload encompassing a broad spectrum of litigation matters. You will be responsible for representing clients in both contentious and non-contentious matters, including commercial disputes, civil litigation, employment disputes, and more. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile cases and collaborate with experienced legal professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload of litigation matters from inception to resolution
  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and prepare court documents
  • Provide expert legal advice and representation to clients
  • Attend court hearings, mediations, and negotiations
  • Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes for clients
  • Maintain accurate case records and billing information
  • Stay updated on changes in legislation and legal developments relevant to litigation practice
Requirements:
  • Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 3 years' PQE in litigation
  • Proven experience handling a variety of litigation matters
  • Strong advocacy and negotiation skills
  • Excellent legal research and writing abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Client-focused approach with exceptional communication skills
  • Membership in relevant professional bodies or associations preferred
