Litigation Paralegal

Permanent, Full-time · London Bridge,
Salary: £31,200

My client is a successful multi-office practice, who deliver a range of services to clients. Based in London, they have a national reputation and are a leading Legal 200 firm who pride themselves on providing a high level of client care. Recognising the importance of giving back to the communities in which they are based, they support local charities and provide advice clinics.

THE ROLE

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Civil Litigation Paralegal to join their team in the London Bridge office. The commercial team handles a broad range of complex civil litigation and contentious probate work.

You will be employed in the area of civil litigation on a mixed caseload.

  • Assisting the team with new client enquiries.
  • Drafting Court documents for claims within the County Court and High Court regimes.
  • Drafting other correspondence between clients and other solicitors.
  • Supporting fee-earners on the full range of contentious probate claims and other civil litigation claims.
  • Manage professionally and confidentially, written and telephone correspondence with clients, other solicitors and third parties.
  • Part of the role will be involved with supporting fee-earners with their marketing initiatives in line with business plan.
  • Conduct legal research as required.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • At least one years’ experience in Civil Litigation, as a Paralegal, Legal Assistant or similar
  • The ability to work for several fee-earners.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Aptitude for working under time pressure and to tight timescales within a fast paced litigation team.
  • Strong problem solving and communication skills in all mediums.
  • Understanding of regulatory and compliance obligations.
