Linux Product Development Engineer - (UK Remote Working)

Leading Edge Technology Company who specialize in High Performance Data-Centric Computing are looking to hire a Linux Product Development Engineer to develop, maintain, configure and support company products and tools.

You will come from a Linux Systems Administration background with a good grasp of security related product issues. You are naturally inquisitive and enjoy technical solutioning internally and externally by providing 3rd line support for deployed technologies. You must have proven experience and understanding of Infrastructure (Enterprise Hardware, Data Centers, Network Switches, Storage Arrays etc.)

Commercial experience with the following technologies is required: CMS’s such as Saltstack, Ansible, Chef, Puppet etc. Creation and distribution of software packages using RPM, Docker and Python Wheel. Scripting with Bash & Python. Git/GitHub, Jira, Trac etc. Monitoring tools such as Prometheus & Grafana. Maintenance and development of product documentation and training materials. Experience of clustered/parallel file systems such as GPFS/Spectrum Scale is highly desirable, as is cluster computing for storage, virtualization and compute/render clustering.
