Lifting Engineer - Nuclear - Long Term Contract

An opportunity has arisen within the business for a Lifting Engineer to join the team on site. The Lifting Engineer will own all aspects of lifting/rigging on site including, but not limited to: lifting operations, documentation associated with lifting activities (lift plans, RAMS etc…), formal communications regarding lifting (RFI, NCR, CI etc…)
Summary of key duties & responsibilities

Rotation: 10/4
Location: Hinkley Point C Power Station (Somerset)
Accommodation allowance
Mileage paid on first and last day of trip
Paid Holiday - 25 days plus Bank Hols
8% Pension (matched)

Key Responsibilities

* Performing technical review of lifting related contract documentation
* Formal communications for all contractual documents related to lifting (NCR's, FCR's, RFI's, CE's etc…)
* Define both operational and technical risks associated to site lift plans
* Ensure compliance with statutory and client specifications
* Creation and maintenance of all lifting documentation (Lift plans, RAMS etc…)
* Provide technical expertise on all things associated to lifting
* Lead a team of up to 16 riggers/slingers
* Supply and maintain all registers associated to lifting
* Hosting of both internal and external (client) audits

Experience

* Experience of working in nuclear sector
* Extensive experience of creating complex lift plans
* Leadership experience
* Strong understanding of ISO standards
* Experience of working in a fast-paced environment and complex work areas
* Client facing
