Level 2 Teaching Assistant

We are recruiting a full-time Level 2 Teaching Assistant for a Primary School in BL9 to start as soon as possible until the end of the academic year, with opportunities for a possible extension.

Milk Education are working with a primary school in the BL9 area. You will be supporting children with their learning and development in a EYFS class. You will also be expected to work with small groups of children with phonics and reading sessions and one to one support as and when required.

Your role & responsibilities:

· Promote inclusion and acceptance of all students

· Be committed to raising attainment, aspiration and self-esteem of pupils

· Support pupils consistently whilst responding to their individual needs

· You will work closely with the class teacher to provide a safe environment and engaging lesson

Non-negotiables:

· Holds a Level 2 qualification (CACHE, Childcare, NNEB, Etc.) or relevant experience within the last two years supporting children in either an education, social care, nursery, community/youth role, college/university placement or any volunteer roles

  • Must have a level 2 qualification for this role and previously support EYFS experience or similar.   
  • Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the classroom teacher.
  • Two suitable references covering the last 2 years.
  • Be able to display excellent verbal communication as well as the ability to actively listen.
