Role Overview: As a Lettings Negotiator based in NW1, you will play a crucial role in securing suitable properties for our customers during estate regeneration works. You’ll work closely with a diverse range of customers, ensuring their housing needs are met while developing strong relationships within a short timeframe.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaison and Coordination:

    • Collaborate with lettings agents, landlords, the Riverside voids team, and other suitable contacts.
    • Identify and secure temporary accommodation within agreed budgets for customers during estate regeneration works.
  • Customer Engagement:

    • Work closely with customers to understand their housing needs.
    • Develop rapport and build relationships quickly.
  • Property Viewings:

    • Conduct estate and home visits to ensure all customers, especially those without suitable IT access, can view potential properties online.
    • Arrange and carry out accompanied viewings, providing applicants with relevant property and lettings information.
  • Negotiation and Process Management:

    • Handle telephone and email enquiries from prospective tenants.
    • Follow up on viewings, negotiate offers, and convert them into acceptable offers.
    • Oversee the signing-up process, including inventory checks and deposit payments.
  • Collaboration:

    • Work closely with colleagues within the regeneration team to meet temporary rehousing targets.
  • Customer Service Excellence:

    • Represent Riverside to our customers, ensuring a professional, honest, and proactive service at all times.
  • Administrative Tasks:

    • Keep relevant documents and spreadsheets updated.
    • Assist with lettings-related reports.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Prior lettings knowledge and experience, preferably gained within a commercial environment.
  • A proven track record in delivering on targets and deadlines within a demanding, customer-focused letting environment.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills with a pleasant telephone manner.
  • Good written skills and file management discipline.
  • Experience using MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
