Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our legal team as a Legal Assistant/Secretary. The ideal candidate will provide administrative support to lawyers and enhance office effectiveness by handling clerical tasks, coordinating communication, and managing client information.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist lawyers in preparing legal documents and correspondence
  • Organize and maintain legal files and documents
  • Coordinate appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements
  • Communicate with clients, witnesses, and court personnel
  • Conduct legal research and compile data for case preparation
  • Manage office supplies and equipment maintenance
  • Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma; additional certification or degree in legal studies is a plus
  • Proven experience as a legal assistant or secretary
  • Proficient in MS Office and legal database software
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Familiarity with legal terminology and court procedures
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
