Legal Secretary - Property Experience
Our client is seeking a Legal Secretary with property experience to work at their Leicester office.
You will be responsible for supporting fee earners by performing a variety of administrative duties, including drafting correspondence, answering phones, greeting visitors and communicating with fee earners and clients.
The role requires a team player with a professional manner who has a strong work ethic and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
· Audio digital dictation and administration support for the team
· Transcribe and proofread letters, emails and correspondence
· Deal with administrative tasks as required to include scanning, printing, paginating, and photocopying
· Under supervision, support the fee earners with accounting and billing processes
· Be involved in the efficient management of client/matter files to include general filing, file opening, ID checks, preparation of client care letters and terms and conditions, file closure and archiving
· Make appointments, arrange meetings and maintain manager/fee earners diary as required
· Attend clients both in person and on the telephone, ensuring the confidentiality at all times
· Deal with post & DX for the team
· Manage meeting rooms, refreshments and other requirements for fee earners
· Complete expenses and mileage claims for fee earners
· Provide general administrative support for the team with business development events and activities
· Undertake any other duties as required
Do you have...
- Previous experience as a legal secretary is desirable but not essential as training is provided
- Be able to effectively prioritise and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- High attention to detail
- High computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office
- Ability to type 80+ words per minute with a high level of accuracy
- Adaptability and pro-active in approach to work
Experience of BigHand desirable
