Join one of Kent’s leading law firms as a Legal Cashier. We’re seeking a highly numerate professional with relevant experience to join a wonderful team in this firm’s Ashford office.   

Utilising your extensive experience as a Legal Cashier, you will be involved in conveyancing transactions among other responsibilities, ensuring all matters are dealt with promptly and with great attention to detail.   

Responsibilities include:
  • Daily bank reconciliations for both client and office accounts
  • Reconciling and posting the petty cash
  • Paying in and banking of all client and office account cheques
  • Paying the purchase ledger
  • Closing and archiving of files
  • Paying VAT online
  • Dealing with queries from partners, staff and clients accordingly
  • Running month end
  • Drawing cheques
  • Reconciling and posting Land Registry statements daily
  • Regularly reviewing monies that can be transferred from client to office account and making the necessary transfers
  
Location: Ashford, Kent
Salary: Up to £35,000 DOE
Hours: Monday – Friday 9:00 am – 5:30 pm, with 1 hour lunch break

To be considered, applicants will need an applied working knowledge of solicitors accounts rules and combine this with a solid understanding of the conveyancing process.
