Legal Cashier

  • This role is dynamic and hands-on, offering support, training, and learning opportunities within the legal cashier role.

Responsibilities:

- Inputting financial entries into accounts database (Access Legal Fusion) and maintaining ledgers.
- Month-end and year-end duties, including report building and distribution, VAT returns, and other HMRC submissions.
- Reconciliation of bank statements and supplier accounts, with housekeeping for office credit and debtor balances.
- Processing electronic and cheque payments.
- Occasional attendance on clients, directors, and third parties (e.g., banks).
- E-filing.

Requirements:

- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent time-management skills.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
- Effective communication and daily workload planning.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with SRA Accounts Rules and VAT principles.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Foxit PDF Editor (preferred).
