RG Consultancy are recruiting for a Legal Cashier for a very well-established firm of solicitors in Stockport. The role has come around to support the department during a period of growth.

You will join a small team of legal cashiers in the finance department and report back to the Head of Finance. Salary will reflect the level of experience along with the following benefits.

The Role

  • Purchase ledger, purchase invoices, reference to purchase orders and delivery notes
  • Processing and recording all financial transactions in line with SARs
  • Logging banking and issuing cheques, bank transfers
  • Petty cash management
  • Record incoming and outgoing invoices
  • Work in accordance to VAT legislation
  • Assist with annual audit preparations
  • Assist with credit control duties when needed
  • VAT Returns

The Person

  • AAT qualified or working towards is an advantage
  • Previous experience with the legal sector would be preferred
  • Experience working within an accounts/financial office is essential
  • IT proficient, especially in MS Excel
