Legal Cashier
Manchester, M2 2EE- Hybrid Working

  • Full time with flexible start and finish times (part time hours considered for those wishing to work over 5 days)
  • Salary from £25,000 dependent on experience

The role:

The successful applicant will support the day to day operations of the Accounts department. You will ensure it provides comprehensive financial support to the business and is run following the Solicitors’ Accounts and other legislation’s rules that may be in force from time to time.

Key tasks (not an exhaustive list):

  • Bank Reconciliations (Client & Office)
  • Posting of disbursement invoices
  • Raising client bills
  • Processing payments and receipts
  • Working knowledge of Solicitor’s Accounts Rules
  • Credit Card Reconciliation
  • Discussing enforcement proceedings with third parties and bailiffs by phone where necessary
  • Carry out other duties, as and when required, to assist in the smooth running of the business


The successful applicant:

The successful applicant must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Legal Cashier. Experience in using case management systems would be an advantage, especially Proclaim.

To excel in this role, you should be a good communicator both written and verbal with a good telephone manner. You should be well organised and have good attention to detail. You must be IT literate with an excellent working knowledge of MS Office applications, particularly Excel.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of Legal Cashier Experience (essential)
  • Case Management System experience (advantageous)
