We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Legal Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all financial transactions within our legal organization while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.

Responsibilities:

- Handle the daily financial operations including processing invoices, payments, and receipts in an accurate and timely manner.

- Perform bank reconciliations and monitor client and office accounts, ensuring all transactions are logged correctly.

- Prepare financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to assist with financial analysis and decision-making processes.

- Collaborate with internal teams, including lawyers and other support staff, to address any financial queries or concerns.

- Manage the completion of payroll tasks, including processing salaries, benefits, and deductions for employees.

- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including the Solicitors Accounts Rules, and contribute to any necessary audits or inspections.

- Stay updated with changes in financial regulations and legislation to ensure all procedures are in line with the latest standards.

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Legal Cashier or in a similar financial role within a legal environment.

- Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, including double-entry bookkeeping and accruals.

- Familiarity with legal accounting software and systems (experience with popular systems is advantageous).

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to accurately manage financial records and transactions.

- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.

- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines.

- Understanding of the Solicitors Accounts Rules and other relevant regulations is essential.
