Learning Support Mentor | Outreach | Newham | Immediate Start

We are looking for a learning support mentors to work for an outreach service, which is based in Newham, East London.

The centre runs a School Outreach Support Service, which provides full time education for Key Stage 2, 3 and 4 pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties (SEMH). The service specialises in teaching pupils who need additional support, specialist assessments/interventions and extended activities.

Typically students are referred from the surrounding Local Authorities due to being excluded from mainstream provision. Many are statemented and/or 'Looked After Children' and find it difficult to concentrate in a classroom environment.

You will be required to give intensive support on a one to one or small group basis for pupils at the centre and out in the community. This is a full-time opportunity and you must be willing to commit for the long term.
