Are you passionate about providing inclusive and supportive learning experiences for young children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a 3-form entry primary school in Lambeth. You will be joining a dynamic team, creating a nurturing environment for all learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Individualised Support: Provide one-on-one and small group support to children with SEND, ensuring their unique needs are met.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the early years team, parents, and the SENCO to create and implement personalised learning plans.
  • Inclusive Practices: Foster an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere, promoting diversity, and celebrating each child's unique abilities.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience working with early years children, particularly those with SEND, is desirable.
  • Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in early childhood education or special education are advantageous.
  • Empathy: A caring and empathetic approach to supporting children with diverse learning needs.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with parents, colleagues, and external professionals.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the evolving needs of individual children.
