Teaching Assistant
  • Location: Secondary Schools in and around Leeds

We are seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our vibrant secondary school team. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about education and are looking to gain valuable experience in a specialist provision setting. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the class teacher, providing general support in managing pupils and the classroom, and assisting pupils with their personal needs. This position offers excellent professional development opportunities and serves as a stepping-stone into teaching.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Support the class teacher in managing pupils and the classroom environment.
  • Assist pupils in meeting their personal and educational needs.
  • Contribute positively to the pupils’ behaviour management.
  • Support the progress and attainment of children through creative and effective methods.
  • Work collaboratively with the school team to contribute to the school’s vision and aims.
  • Maintain a consistently positive approach and a good sense of humour.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Enjoy working with children and have the ability to bring out the best in them.
  • Achieved a Level 2 qualification or equivalent.
  • A good standard of English and Maths (GCSE Grade A-C or equivalent).
  • Ability to have a positive impact on pupils’ progress and attainment.
  • Creative, with the ability to contribute to the school’s overall vision and aims.
  • Good team player with a sense of humour.
