TimePlan Education are recruiting an SEN Teaching Assistant to support a small group of children with SEN in a lovely and inclusive school in South Kensington. The school are looking for staff who are proactive, engaging, professional and have good knowledge of SEN. Experience in supporting children or young adults with SEND is desirable but not essential. The successful candidate will be working in a reception class in the mornings and in a nursery class in the afternoon.

The successful candidate will be working on a full-time basis with the opportunity of getting a permanent contract with the school after three terms.

Job Responsibilities

  • Comfortable supporting pupils with ASD.
  • Ability to engage and support a small group of children in year 3.
  • Assist with personal care if needed.
  • Supervising pupils' behaviour.

Job Requirements

  • Experience in supporting children or young adults with SEND is desirable but is not essential.
  • Calm and empathetic.
  • Good behaviour management.
  • Valid DBS registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
  • Available 5 days a week and able to commit to at least 2-6 months.
