Learning Support Assistant (LSA)

Are you a caring and compassionate person in the Greenwich borough that would like to gain experience in a school setting? Are you an Early Years Practitioner with a knowledge of SEN and would like to transition into schools? Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) that is committed to supporting children with SEN and additional needs?

We are currently seeking a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support children in a fantastic and supportive SEN school in Greenwich. As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA), you will be working with and supporting children, most of which have an EHCP, on a 1:1, small group, or general classroom basis.

As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) in this Greenwich school you will:

  • Help pupils access curriculum through your dedicated support
  • Create and help with resources
  • Raise attainment of the students
  • Support the needs of students with SEND
  • Work alongside and learn from the teaching team
  • Adapt your support style dependent on the students' needs
  • Monitor pupil progress

As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) in this Greenwich school you will have:

  • DBS on the update service or willing to get one
  • Prior experience with children - experience of supporting children with SEN needs would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of behavior management is desirable but not essential
  • Creativity and Innovation
  • The ability to build relationships
