LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT REQUIRED

Stewards are looking to appoint a highly motivated and contentious Learning Support Assistant to work in partnership with the class teacher(s) to support learning in line with the Curriculum, Codes of Practice, School Policies and Procedures. The successful candidate will provide efficient and effective tailored support for student(s) with SEND and commit to inclusivity and removing barriers to learning.

Maths and English GCSEs (C grade or above) are preferred with a general knowledge of ICT.

28 hours, 45 minutes per week (start time 8:45am)

39 working weeks per year (44.7 paid weeks per year)

Salary: Scale 3 Point 5 - £16,113.52 pro rata per annum (including fringe allowance)

The successful applicant will:

  • Be able to work and support our children with SEND
  • Be able to work 1:1 with specific children, carrying out specific tasks and prepare the learning environment and resources
  • Liaise with the class teacher and Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion and supporting individuals and groups
  • Show a genuine interest in our children’s wellbeing and build a positive and respectful rapport with all children.
  • Have experience of working with children with SEND
  • Have experience with using ICT
