Position: Learning Support Assistant
Location: South Oxfordshire
Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with special educational needs (SEN), including those with learning difficulties or disabilities.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and accommodations to support student learning and development.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and other support staff to create inclusive learning environments and promote student engagement.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents/guardians.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, promoting independence, confidence, and self-esteem.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with students with SEN preferred.
  • Knowledge of various learning support strategies and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting student success.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students and respond to changing priorities.
