Learning Support Assistant SEND

Engage Education are currently working in partnership with a primary and secondary school on an exciting new SEN Teaching Assistant position in Reigate.

Starting ASAP, the school is looking for an outstanding SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a long term temporary basis. If the role goes well there is the potential for this to turn into a permanent assignment.

The school caters for students aged 4 to 19 with Autism.

This role is for a teaching assistant to support learners with a range of needs which can be complex and so someone with a care background would be a good fit.

Your Role:

  • Supporting children across early years

  • Working with other support staff to engage pupils in class

  • Providing feedback to teachers and parents

  • You will be assisting pupils with Autism

What you will need:

  • A range of behaviour management techniques

  • To have worked with learners with a range of needs

  • The ability to re-engage a young person in learning through a range of methods

  • To be able to commit to working at the school for long period of time

  • A resilient attitude
