Job Description: Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a dedicated One-to-One Learning Support Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to a child with autism in a mainstream primary school located in St. Helens.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one support to the child with autism in various academic and non-academic activities.
- Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure the child's needs are met effectively.
- Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians regarding the child's progress and development.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with autism or special educational needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Must be available and able to commit to the role until December 2024.
- Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or related fields are desirable but not essential.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
