A mainstream primary school in Wokingham which provides teaching for pupils with a range of mild additional needs, including Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Autism (ASD) and behavioural difficulties (EBD) is looking for a persevering Learning Mentor to join their team to support a child on a 1:1 basis.

Experience working with SEN children as well as a good knowledge and understanding of SEN is essential for the role and being competent in working with challenging behaviour is beneficial. This relevant previous experience could include SEN 1:1, helping within an SEN nursery, in a sport setting or in a similar SEN classroom setting etc.

You would be working on a 1:1 basis which will allow you to build a positive and trusting relationship with your assigned pupil. The leadership team is highly supportive, giving you the tools you need to plan and carry out meaningful learning activities as well as offering any additional training to support you in this role.

• 1:1 support for a student with additional needs.
