Learning and Development Coordinator who has previous experience within an L&D role or a related field, excellent communication skills and a proactive approach is required for a well-established company based in Skelmersdale, Lancashire, North West England.

SALARY: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum (DOE) + Benefits (see below)

LOCATION: Hybrid Working - You must live within a commutable distance to Skelmersdale, Lancashire, North West England

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Learning and Development Coordinator who has previous experience within an L&D role or a related field, excellent communication skills and a proactive approach.

Working closely with the Talent Manager and wider HR Team, the primary purpose of the Learning and Development Coordinator role is to support the company’s Learning and Development (L&D) strategy by assisting in the coordination, management, design and implementation of various initiatives aimed at enhancing colleague skills, competencies, and career development.

The role as Learning and Development Coordinator serves as a key facilitator in ensuring that colleagues have access to relevant training, resources and development opportunities to support individual growth and organisational goals.

By collaborating with internal stakeholders, external partners, and subject matter experts, the Learning and Development Coordinator will contribute to creating a culture of continuous and structured learning, innovation and talent development.

DUTIES

  • Develop a good understanding of the organisational goals of the company and internal training needs to assist with the coordination, facilitation and management of effective training and development programmes across the business
  • Key point of contact for Learning and Development queries and to manage and improve L&D process
  • Input and work on initiatives to drive the on-going L&D strategy
  • Assist with the completion of training needs and skills gap analysis
  • Assist in the coordination, development and implementation of competency frameworks
  • Assist with the coordination, management and maintenance of the skills matrix
  • Assist with the coordination of activities related to the Associate Academy, including curriculum development, scheduling, participant engagement and continuous improvements
  • Assist in the performance development and review (PDR) process
  • Coordinate the development and management of internal and external training programs, workshops and learning events
  • Assist and contribute to manager meetings on how the L&D function can support L&D needs
  • Assist with the Investors In People Accreditation and other HR related accreditations processes
  • Assist with the Study Support Application process
  • Support the partnership with SAP and assist with the organisation, coordination and management of SAP Learning Hub Licences and other SAP Training materials
  • Assist with the monitoring, collecting, analysing and reporting of key metrics and measures to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of L&D programs and initiatives

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Essential

  • Previous experience in a Learning and Development role or related field
  • Demonstrable interest in Learning and Development and passion for personal and colleague growth
  • Professional communication style and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior colleagues
  • Proactive in approach, comfortable to use own initiative to drive and effectively manage activity
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills with the ability to understand and explain technical terms using simple, understandable language

Desirable

  • A good understanding of competency frameworks, succession planning, and talent management processes
  • Has successfully been through and contributed to an IIP standards process or similar to achieve business accreditation
  • Proficient in using Microsoft SharePoint as a learning management system (LMS)
  • Worked in an SAP, ERP or similar business consulting environment
