Job Title: Leadership and Management Development Consultant

Contract Type: 6-month contract, Hybrid

Location: Essex, United Kingdom

Salary: £450-£500/day

About Us: We are seeking a Leadership and Management Development Consultant for Local authority in Essex, dedicated to driving positive change and development within our organisation. Our People & Transformation team plays a crucial role in maximising the contribution, value, and credibility of our practices throughout the organisation. basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of future-focused, relevant, and innovative leadership and management development solutions aligned with functional business plans.
  • Procure external resources for specific programs, ensuring quality assurance and effective contract management.
  • Deliver leadership and management development solutions, including executive coaching, facilitation, workshops, and consultancy advice tailored to organisational needs.
  • Support the implementation of our Talent development strategy by addressing talent needs through leadership & management development initiatives.
  • Establish robust impact measurement for development programs, utilising people insights and evidence of performance impact.
  • Develop collaborative approaches to strengthen leadership and management capabilities across Essex County, fostering key partnerships as needed.
  • Collaborate with People & Transformation and People Business Partnering teams to design and implement cross-cutting programs.
  • Define individual and shared targets within the performance management framework through professional supervision.

Experience Required:

  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to deliver results efficiently.
  • Significant technical expertise in Leadership and Management Development across all levels.
  • Proven ability to solve complex problems, conduct research, and develop new applications.
  • Sound expertise in designing and applying impact evaluation to development programs.
  • Practical experience in learning and business needs consulting, guiding stakeholders through collaborative decision-making.
  • Confident facilitation and delivery of workshops, events, or development interventions.
  • Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and analytical skills with a strategic focus.
  • Ability to manage complex projects across multiple services and teams.
  • Coaching qualification is desirable.
