Empowering Learning are looking for SEND Lead Teacher to work in an excellent and Impressive SEND provision situated in Long Eaton . Experience working in a school setting and experience with SEND pupils is essential. Teaching ability across the age ranges is favourable. This role comes with a TLR and SEN point.

Desired Experience :

  • QTS or equivalent
  • Ability to engage disaffected pupils in education
  • Have experience working with young people
  • Be highly organised with excellent communication skills
  • Have a desire to work with, inspire and support children
  • Have an interest in teaching young people with a variety of SEND
  • Have experience teaching children with additional needs (desirable not essential)
  • Be a part of the school team taking part in the wider school environment
  • Have an understanding of behavioural management
  • Ability to lead and manage other staff
  • Design and tailor curriculums for individual young people

Additional Responsibilities.

  • Supporting children during lessons/school activities
  • Supporting staff/children during lunch and break times
  • Managing pupils personalised learning based on their individual need.
  • Collecting evidence of children's work to support their assessment
  • Providing physical management and care of pupils
