Lead Software Engineer - Remote or Hybrid - £50K

I'm working with a client at the forefront of providing cutting edge software solutions for the Telecoms sector with AI. My client is looking to appoint a Lead Software Engineer to spearhead the Generative AI projects and solutions for their clients.

About the role

• Develop creative software solutions, employing design, development, and technical troubleshooting skills. Your work will involve thinking beyond traditional approaches to construct or solve complex technical challenges.
• Take ownership of collaborating with stakeholders to understand requirements, refining them, and influencing decisions to ensure they align with our strategic goals.
• Produce secure, high-quality production code. Review and debug code to maintain excellence in our software delivery. Identify opportunities to automate and eliminate recurring issues, enhancing operational stability.
• Lead investigations and remediation of urgent issues, coordinate across teams, and provide technical leadership. Promote and participate in communities of practice within Software Engineering to explore new technologies.
• Contribute to a team culture that prioritizes diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Required Skills

• Expertise in Java , Spark, SQL, Relational DB, Spark, NoSQL, focusing on performance optimization.
• A thorough understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and agile methodologies, including CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
• Cloud-native experience is essential.
