We are looking for someone with a background in recruitment to temporarily support our team. Attracting the right people to work with us helps ensure we can deliver high quality, cost effective services. You will play an important part in helping us make Hackney a place for everyone.

As Lead Recruiter, you will have experience of working with managers across the Council, helping attract job seekers from private and public sectors. You should have experience recruiting to all levels, including some hard to fill roles. You will need great communication skills, be able to offer advice, influence and use your expertise to deliver positive outcomes.

Day to day you will work with managers to understand their recruitment needs. You will liaise with the Recruitment Manager to design recruitment strategies, aiming to use direct networking, campaigns and other methods to develop talent pools. You will help screen applicants and provide information and feedback to them as needed.

You will need to be adept at a range of IT systems, including applicant tracking systems. This is a busy environment so you need to be highly organised and able to prioritise your own work, delegating to others as needed. You should have a working knowledge of employment legislation and best practice, and show your commitment to ongoing professional development.

You will come from a background in recruitment advertising or an in-house recruitment team.
