Job Role: Lead Front End Developer (Chinese Speaking)
Location: Hybrid (3 days on-site per week in London)
Salary: £70,000 - £100,000

My client is a prominent iGaming development company, that is expanding in the Asian market. Dedicated to delivering cutting-edge products and captivating iGaming experiences to players worldwide, they are currently seeking a skilled Lead Frontend Developer to spearhead the development and maintenance of a cross-browser web application, including the creation of new games.

The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of four years of professional experience developing large-scale applications using React/TypeScript, be fluent in Mandarin, have previous experience leading or managing teams, and be ready for an exciting new challenge!

Requirements:

• Fluent proficiency in Mandarin or Chinese dialect.
• 2+ years of experience in management/lead roles
• 4+ years of experience developing applications using React/TypeScript.
• Strong coding skills, with the ability to write clean, effective code.
• Strong understanding of programming principles (OOP, SOLID) and advanced functional programming principles.
• Knowledge of version control systems, such as Git.
• Experience with WebSocket and binary communication protocols

Bonus if:

• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Experience with gaming products is a plus.
• Experience with WebSockets and binary communication protocols is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with the Team Lead and various stakeholders to grasp project requirements, contribute to project planning, update the line manager on progress, and actively contribute to the development of iGaming products.
• Ensuring the upkeep of existing products while introducing new features.
• Offering leadership, guidance, and technical insight to a team of frontend developers.
• Engaging in frontend architecture design, with a focus on ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability of the codebase.
• Maintaining close communication with both frontend and backend teams, along with UI/UX designers, to guarantee that development activities align seamlessly with the project goals.
