Laser Setter Operator

Job Role: Laser Operator
Location or Commutable from: Leicester

Shift: 6am to 2pm / 2pm to 10pm Rotating
Pay Rate / Salary: £12-£14 per hour depending on experience

The Company:

Our client is a sheet metal manufacturer based in the Leicester area. They work with an exciting portfolio of clients producing components for the retail display industry.

The Candidate:

Precision Sheet Metal work experience
Experience of setting and operating CNC laser
Ability to read engineering drawing
Ability to use engineering measuring equipment
Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines

Laser Operator Responsibilities:

To Manufacture precision detailed sheet metal components including the set up and use of a Bystronic laser
To use precision equipment such as vernier callipers
To use and maintain equipment
Responsible for ensuring the high standard of housekeeping is maintained
To support team members with other tasks as and when necessary
Responsible for ensuring that all Health and Safety Policies are adhered to
To carry out any other tasks where reasonable and relevant within any manufacturing area which includes Assembly, Machine Shop, and Fabrication
