Bridge Recruitment is working with a well-established fabrication and precision engineering company, they are now looking to take on a Laser Operator. You will be given full training and the opportunity to progress.

You will be working a 38.5 hours basic per week, 0730-1600 Monday to Thursday: 0730 - 1400 Friday. There will be the opportunity to do overtime.

Duties involve:
Control of Sheet Material
Move pallets of material out/in at the start and end of the day
Update material register
Mark up all material with relevant information i.e. Job Number, certificate number
Ensure all material is stored away and tidy
Laser Maintenance
Ensure the machine is kept clean and tidy
Change slates as required
Check gas levels and notify the foreman if gas is required
Carry out all routine checks that are required
Programming of Laser
Ensure parts being programmed are the latest issue drawing
Programme to ensure the best use of material while ensuring all profiles lay in the correct grain orientation
Drawing files are not to be altered unless permission is given
Inspection of cut parts
Inspect the first of each part cut to ensure within tolerance
Carry out routine inspect on large batches of cut components to ensure consistency
Inspect all cut parts to ensure correct quantities and quality are present
Deburr cut parts as and when required
