Working with our Eye based client, Contract Personnel are on the lookout for a Lab Technician to join their team on a permanent basis.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable carrying out the following duties:

Key Responsibilities:

•Supporting the Coatings Technology team on product and production process related testing.

•To support activities related to the production of laboratory samples.

•Provide input into research/development on specific product, process, and other manufacturing related projects.

General Responsibilities:

•To perform tests on product quality in accordance with the Company’s Quality Standards.

•To produce official test reports to satisfy our ISO procedures.

•To support testing required by the Company’s production facility to ensure process controls are achieved.

•To engage in continuous improvement activities to drive performance improvements.

•To perform testing and other duties which support development projects relating to the Company’s coating processes and coatings process lines.

•To support troubleshooting activities when necessary to rectify any potential deficiencies in the Company’s coating processes and coatings process lines.

•To interpret test results from experimentation using appropriate techniques and to communicate these effectively.

•To contribute to the development and maintenance of systems that record and monitor glass and epoxy product performance to ensure compliance with applicable standards and specifications.

•To support the ongoing opportunities related to improved product quality and general operational efficiencies.

•To contribute to ensuing all improvements to glass and epoxy coatings processes are implemented into the Company’s ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 documentation.

•To carry out any other duties that may reasonably be requested.

Essential Skills & Personal Attributes

•Strong interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills.

•Ability to work using your initiative to a high standard with excellent attention to detail 

•Good administrative skills and IT proficient.

•Ability to deliver tasks and objectives by agreed deadlines.

Work Experience Requirements

•Work experience gained within a manufacturing environment is desirable, however full training and support will be provided for the individual to excel.

•This role is open to individuals who have recently completed education and are seeking to gain industrial experience.

Working hours are 9am - 5pm or 8am - 4pm Monday to Friday
