We are looking for a L3 Nursery Practitioner to join our team a Montessori Nursery in South Croydon. The Nursery is a place where children can learn and grow in a warm and welcoming environment. It follows the Montessori method of education, which is based on the principles of self-directed learning, independent exploration, and collaborative play. The Nursery has age-appropriate classrooms that are equipped with specially designed Montessori materials and resources that stimulate the children's curiosity and creativity. They also have a spacious outdoor area that offers opportunities for physical activity and nature discovery.
The nursery staff are qualified and experienced in the Montessori approach and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. They support the children's individual needs and interests and help them develop their skills and knowledge across all areas of learning. The nursery aims to provide a high-quality Montessori education that prepares the children for their next stage of schooling and life.
As a L3 Nursery Practitioner, you will be responsible for:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality Montessori activities and experiences that meet the individual needs and interests of the children
  • Observing, assessing and recording the children's progress and development using the EYFS framework
  • Supporting the children's social and emotional development and promoting positive behaviour
  • Working in partnership with parents and carers and maintaining effective communication
  • Following the nursery policies and procedures and ensuring the health and safety of the children and staff
  • Working as part of a team and contributing to the continuous improvement of the nursery
  • Attending staff meetings and training sessions and keeping up to date with current practice and legislation


To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A Level 3 qualification in childcare or equivalent
  • A good understanding of the Montessori approach and the EYFS framework
  • Experience of working with children aged 2 to 5 years old in a nursery setting
  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude and a genuine love for children
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others
  • A commitment to professional development and learning new skills
  • A Enhanced DBS check and the right to work in the UK
