We are seeking a dedicated Pastoral Support Assistant to join our team at a school located in King's Lynn . The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing emotional and academic guidance to students, ensuring their well-being and supporting their educational journey.

Working hours: Mon to Fri, 8am to 4pm (term time only) 

Day to day of the role:

  • Offer emotional and academic support to students, helping them navigate through their school experience.
  • Act as a liaison between students, parents, and staff to foster a supportive and communicative environment.
  • Implement and uphold the school’s behaviour policy, contributing to a positive school culture.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to identify students’ needs and coordinate appropriate support.
  • Participate in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students within the school.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working with young people in a pastoral or similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and staff.
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and reliability.
  • A patient, empathetic approach, with a passion for supporting young people’s development.
