Position: KS2 Teacher - Part-time 2 days. Year 4 and Year 5

Start Date: 22nd April

Salary: paid to scale

About the school: The school is a vibrant primary school in Middlesbrough, committed to providing an inclusive, individualised and inspirational curriculum. They aspire for their pupils to become productive, respectful, honest and reliable members of the community.

The Role: As a KS2 Teacher, you will be part of the phase teams. The Year 3 and 4 teachers and the Year 5 and 6 teachers plan collaboratively to make the curriculum immersive, inclusive and inspirational.

Key Responsibilities for KS2 Teacher:

  • Plan and teach well-structured lessons aligned with the National Curriculum.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of pupils.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, maintaining a positive and safe learning environment.
  • Communicate with parents and guardians regarding their children’s progress and wellbeing.
  • Participate in staff meetings/briefings, parent evenings and whole-school training events.
  • Work collaboratively within the phase and with teaching assistants and other staff members to support pupil learning.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 2
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum.
  • Excellent classroom management skills.
  • Ability to create an inclusive classroom that values each pupil’s unique contributions.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development.
