Are you passionate about education and dedicated to making a positive impact on young minds? We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Wakefield on a full-time basis starting as soon as possible. This role specifically focuses on Key Stage 1 (KS1) and requires expertise and/or training in Read Write Inc. Phonics.

As a dedicated KS1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the academic and personal development of students. Your primary focus will be on assisting in the implementation of Read Write Inc Phonics, a proven method for developing early literacy skills. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with teachers to plan and deliver engaging lessons.
  • Providing one-on-one or small group support to students.
  • Utilising Read Write Inc. Phonics strategies to enhance literacy development.
  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

What We're Looking For: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Teaching Assistant who:

  • Has previous experience working in a primary school setting.
  • Is trained and/or experienced in Read Write Inc. Phonics.
  • Possesses excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Is committed to creating a positive and supportive learning environment.
