Key stage 1 or Key Stage 2 Phase Leader
Full-time, Permanent role - starting September 2024
We are currently looking to recruit a Permanent Key stage 1 or Key Stage 2 Phase Leader for an Outstanding primary school based in the inner London borough of Brent.
Are you an experienced teacher with a proven track record of teaching consistently good or outstanding lessons?
Do you have experience leading a subject across the school or have successfully mentored ECTs?
This role will be suitable for existing phase leaders or experienced teachers ready for the next step in their career.

About the role:
As a Phase Leader, you will have to demonstrate quality model teaching and will have the opportunity to impact the wider school life and your team. You will be developing, leading and holding to account a team of peers, enabling the highest levels of behaviour, progress and attainment for all. The phase will be 6 classes across two year groups in a Key Stage that suits the experience of the successful applicant.

* Key Stage 1 / Key Stage 2 Phase leader depending on applicant preference.

Leading and management of phase
* Enable the team to consistently deliver high quality inclusive teaching via a motivational model of coaching and support.
* Regularly analyse student performance data, reviewing attainment, progress and behaviour, including the performance of specific groups, especially those in receipt of pupil premium, to ensure support is tailored and timely.
* Be proactive in the social, emotional and academic wellbeing of students in collaboration with other staff members and other external agencies, as appropriate.
* Lead on the performance review of all members of the team, setting targets for development that will enhance the learning experience of all.
* Contribute towards the school's improvement plan.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* Hold relevant Degree, PGCE with QTS or equivalent.
* Demonstrable commitment to raising attainment of all students in a challenging classroom environment.
* Excellent understanding of both subject and general teaching pedagogy
* Knowledge of the national primary education system, the primary curriculum, particularly the English and maths programme of study, and the changing face of assessment
* Effective and systematic behaviour management
* Be or demonstrate the potential to become an outstanding teacher.
