Gloucestershire County Council are looking to expand their current team. The Kinship team is looking for a Social Worker to join a well-structured and organised team. The Kinship Social Worker role will be for an initial 3-6 months with potential for extension subject to internal circumstance and your performance.
Kinship Social Worker Responsibilities Include:
- Conducting Fostering Statutory Visits.
- Household Foster Carer review assessment and reporting.
- Writing Standards of Care reports
- Writing foster care development plans
- Writing educational material for special guardian applicants.
- Updating the LA database accordingly and performance management.
- Undertaking Special Guardianship Assessments
- Representing carers at the Fostering Panel
- Providing evidence to the court when necessary
- Working in partnership with the Children's Social Worker
- Connected Persons Assessments
- Giving evidence in Court
Requirements / Experience preferred:
- Post qualifying experience of working as a Fostering Social Worker within the UK Social Care industry.
- HCPC Registration
- 1-2 years post qualifying experience within the UK Social Care industry
- Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
