Job Title: Key Stage 2 Class Teacher

Location: Bournemouth

Salary: Paid to teacher scale (MPS/UPS)

Start Date:  After Easter, September start also considered

Are you a Key Stage 2 teacher or soon to be teacher who is passionate about shaping young minds? GSL Education is currently partnering with a local primary school in Bournemouth to find  Key Stage 2 Class teacher willing to join to their teaching crew. The students are well-behaved, eager to learn and the work-life balance for teachers is excellent. If you are considering teaching as a profession in Bournemouth, we may have just the right job for you!

While the school primarily caters to mainstream primary education, the key stage 2 teachers may also be involved in supporting students with Special Education Needs on a 1:1 or in small groups. Therefore, any prior experience or knowledge of SEN is highly desirable.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree/Master’s Degree
  • Teaching Certification (QTS/QTLS/PGCE)
  • Strong knowledge of primary school curriculum and teaching methodologies
  • Previous experience of working in a primary school is preferred, not mandatory.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for education
  • Ability to create engaging and inclusive lesson plans


Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration
  • Implement effective classroom management strategies to create a conducive learning atmosphere
  • Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to students and parents
  • Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support student development and well-being
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and best practices
  • Create a safe and supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged to express themselves and take risks
