Junior Tendering and Contracts Engineer

An established Commodity Trading company is looking for a Junior Tendering and Contracts Engineer to join their London office.

Junior Tendering and Contracts Engineer will carry out the tendering and contract execution process for Energy Related steels.

This includes Linepipe (pipeline) for CO2 and Hydrogen Transportation as well as traditional hydrocarbon business, low carbon intensity plate and monopiles for wind foundations. Follow said tenders through to contract execution and delivery on those successful contracts. This includes contract execution, document control and contract reporting invoicing and logistics.

Location: London (Hybrid working is available, 2 days a week in the office)

Junior Tendering and Contracts Engineer Responsibilities:

• Receive and coordinate the tendering process for energy steels business activity
• Support full contract review and participate in tender negotiation process
• Secure report back on the quotation success rates and reasoning
• Execute as part of a team, the successful contracts, including project documentation, logistics management and supply chain contract management
• Close out and ensure that contracts are concluded within budget, on time and within the contract requirements
• Work Closely with Senior Contracts Engineers and other team members to ensure the application and completion of milestone payment schedules are carried out in accordance with company accounting practices and procedures
• Deliver on company and business unit objectives with clear focus on quality, HSE and sustainability
• Participate and contribute to tender tactics meetings, contract kick off and pre-production meetings
• Attend customer meetings as necessary
• Some global travel required for internal and external meetings
• Delivery of the Energy Transition Department strategy
• Develop third party supply chain options including participation in Approved Vendor Process
• Handle pre-qualification processes as necessary
• Carry out company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development

Junior Tendering and Contracts Engineer Ideal Candidate:

• Initial Knowledge of OFW and L/P steel structure supply chain.
• Sales, Marketing and Consulting in international trade
• Participation and Success of major trade contracts
• B2B Business development experience
• Excellent communication skills
