Berry Recruitment are working in partnership with the Celtic Collection, who are looking for a Junior Sous Chef in Milford Haven.

We are seeking a Junior Sous Chef who will be responsible for ensuring all food served will be of the highest standards and quality, motivating the team to ensure guest satisfaction.

As the Junior Sous Chef your duties will include:

  • responsible for helping to maintain a customer focused environment.
  • maintaining positive relationships within the team.
  • supporting the manager in setting monthly, quarterly, annual budgets.
  • responsible for initiating disciplinary proceedings.
  • responsible for ensuring full, safe operation of all equipment and stock.
  • Ordering of all food items as per requirement.
  • Making sure that all stock in labelled and rotated.
  • in the absence of the Senior Chef, the Junior Sous Chef will act on his/her behalf when appointed.

In the Junior Sous Chef position you will need the following skills/attributes to succeed:

  • Should have AAA level 2 or equivalent.
  • Food Hygiene Level 2
  • Leadership skills
  • Full understanding of HACCP
  • 5 years minimum at a 3/4/5 star Hotel and / or large reputable Restaurant
  • At least 3 years in a Chef de partie position
  • At least 14 month in a Junior Sous Chefs position
  • Must be able to converse with a Senior Management.
