Junior Print Designer

The Company

A fantastic opportunity for a Print Designer to join a family-based supplier whose priority is providing quality fabrics to their customers and has done so for 30 years.

The Role:

• Working alongside the print department.
• Working on high street accounts.
• Repeat print and digital.
• Setting up prints from scratch.
• Approving strike-off’s / digital lengths.
• Re-colour / work on repeats.
• Creating commercial ranges for clients.
• Creating mood boards for trends.
• Liaising with overseas mills.
• Keeping up to date with current catwalk, high street trends and trend predictions and translating them into commercial products.
• Meeting with buyers.
• Liaising with customers and tailoring designs to suit their needs.
• Liaising with fabric and print suppliers to source samples.

Skill requirements:

• Must come from a print design background.
• Up to date with current trends.
• Able to create mood boards for trends/highlight current trends in line with the high street.
• Experience of liaising with overseas mills.
• Proven ability to work under pressure / meet deadlines.
• PC Literate including Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Creative with a keen eye for detail.
