Are you technically inclined with a passion for problem-solving and an interest in cybersecurity? Our client, a prominent cybersecurity firm, is seeking a Junior Penetration Tester to join their dynamic team. This role presents an exciting opportunity for individuals with technical experience, regardless of whether it's in cybersecurity, to transition into the field of ethical hacking and security assessments.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive penetration tests on various systems, applications, and networks to uncover vulnerabilities and potential security risks.
  • Collaborate closely with senior team members to develop effective test plans and methodologies tailored to client needs.
  • Execute penetration testing activities following industry-standard frameworks such as OWASP, NIST, etc.
  • Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, tools, and techniques to enhance testing methodologies.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Cybersecurity or related disciplines desired
  • Previous technical experience is essential, although it does not have to be specifically in cybersecurity. Experience in fields such as software development, system administration, or network engineering is highly beneficial.
  • Familiarity with basic networking concepts, operating systems, and web technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and independently when necessary.
  • Enthusiasm and desire to learn and grow in the field of cybersecurity.
  • Additional certifications such as OSCP, CEH, CISSP, etc., are advantageous, but not required.
