Role:-Junior Packaging Technologist (Food/Pharma)
Location:-Merseyside - hybrid role 50% from site, 50% from home
Salary:-Competitive stating salary with scope to progress

Russell-Taylor Group have a fantastic opportunity for a Junior Packaging Technologist role to join our client's nutritional client in Merseyside. This is recently formed full-time permanent position due to evolvement of the team and an influx of work.
Our client is looking for an individual with some previous packaging experience ideally within the food, nutraceutical, or pharmaceutical industry. Although they are requiring someone with experience, there is scope for growth with this role and elements of the position can be taught with lots of exposure to various packaging formats. Having a passion for sustainability and the environment will also be advantageous!

Responsibilities of the role
• Performing and reporting quality and analytical testing (powder test, dissolution, bulk density, shelf-life testing, and stability testing) to validate packaging solutions.
• Support sustainability and compliance of packaging.
• Set up trial requests and documentation in collaboration with the managers.
• Record and present analytical results and ensure that records are accurate.
• Root Cause analysis of any abnormalities.
• Support the creation, maintenance, and communication of packaging instructions (including visual guides).
• Ensure that packing instructions are in place and there are no incorrect instructions.
• Attend trials with the team to contract manufacturers, supervising any routine production or new packaging trials. This can occasionally be in Europe too.
• Support the development and review of pallet plans for new and existing plans.

The Person
• Educated to degree or equivalent in Science or Technology related subject.
• Must have an analytical mindset and problem-solving capability.
• Previous experience within a packaging role.
• Results focused and must have excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task and work to deadlines
• Passion for sustainability and the environment
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Happy to occasionally travel to trails, which can also be into Europe.
