If you’re looking for a growing, community minded organisation, want to operate in a true generalist capacity and are comfortable operating in a pacey, ambiguous scale-up environment then this is for you.

Reporting to the part time Head of HR, you will join as the organisation looks to scale and double in size. Naturally, recruitment, onboarding, benchmarking, and other growth-related activities are going to be a priority over the coming months. The business has ambitions to strengthen its EDI agenda, its EVP and continue to build on being a data and insights driven organisation.

As a purpose driven organisation, the way you do things is as important as what you’re doing – as a focal point for the HR function you will champion values and behaviours. Ensuring there are clear policies and processes is going to be critical in enabling the business to scale at pace and maintain high standards of performance. You will be responsible for employee relations matters but the volume of these will be slim, a greater focus will be on coaching managers and ensuring a high level of capability among new and incoming managers.

Who are we looking for?

You’ll have a generalist background, ideally be CIPD qualified and be enthused about working for an organisation that is focused on supporting communities. You’ll be adaptable and comfortable working in a changing environment where there will be instances of new challenges that the business has not faced before and, therefore, may not have a previously set precedent as to how manage future challenges. You will be comfortable with occasional travel to London and be happy working in a remote working environment.
