Trainee Fund Accountant, Alternative Investor, £30,000, London/Hybrid
  
Our client is a very successful alternative investment manager with a requirement for a Trainee Fund Accountant. With over $2.3bn Funds Under Management, they are an established company that believes in sustainable growth.
  
This is an ideal role for a hardworking and aspiring individual looking to pursue their accounting qualifications and further develop core knowledge and skills.
  
Your Role
  • Developing an understanding of their clients and industry, along with supporting the team in providing reporting within agreed deadlines.
  • Helping prepare month-end Net Asset Values and fund performance reports.
  • Reporting the predicted cashflows.
  • Supporting the review of the pre and post trade checks.
  • Preparing performance fee and tax calculations.
  • Assisting with monthly regulatory reporting.
  • Facilitating the monitoring of procedures and helping to resolve any issues identified.
  • Ad-hoc task helping out in Corporate Accounting, Compliance, Investor Relations, and Marketing
  
Your Skills & Qualifications
  • Up to 12 months of accounting experience gained in a corporate environment, such as an accountancy practice.
  • An excellent academic track record, with an ambition to pursue an accounting qualification.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks, are a must.
  • Team player, with a willingness to learn new skills and add value.
