Job Title: Junior Estimator - Manufacturing

Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated Junior Manufacturing Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a foundational background in manufacturing, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to learn and accurately estimate project costs. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals and contribute to the company's growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to assist in preparing accurate cost estimates for manufacturing projects.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and procurement teams to gather necessary information for estimating.
  • Learn to evaluate materials, labour, and equipment requirements for each project.
  • Utilize estimating software and tools with guidance to generate detailed cost breakdowns.
  • Assist in preparing and presenting cost estimates to management and clients.
  • Monitor and update estimates throughout the project lifecycle with supervision.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements with mentorship.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Entry-level experience in manufacturing processes and materials is a plus.
  • Willingness to learn and be trained in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
