Role - Junior Credit Risk Analyst

Location - Hybrid working with office based in Newport

Hours - Mon-Fri fulltime

They are now recruiting for a Junior Credit Risk Analyst to join their team in Newport. As a Junior Risk Analyst, you will assist in the development of risk management processes, frameworks, and policies, and will analyse data to identify potential risk areas. You will also be responsible for monitoring and reporting on risk levels to senior management, and for recommending appropriate actions when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of risk management processes, frameworks, and policies.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential areas of risk.
  • Analyse data to support risk identification and assessment.
  • Monitor and report on risk levels to senior management.
  • Develop and maintain risk management documentation.
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Stay up to date with industry best practices

Key skills

  • Basic proficiency with SQL, SAS and/or Python required for data manipulation
  • An understanding of the concept of statistical models, KPI dashboards and Risk Frameworks
  • A background in delivering and supporting risk strategies through statistical analysis
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen eye on data visualisation using Tableau
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
