Summary

We have a brand new role for a motivated Junior BI developer to join a leading company in the manufacturing industry. They have operations across the UK with this role available at their office located just outside Wigan.

This role has opened up as their previous Junior BI Developer has been promoted to a Senior position within the company, and is now looking for someone to mentor, support, and train. It's a fantastic opportunity for self-development and career progression due to in-house training at a company that values internal promotions.

They're looking for a proactive individual, a great communicator, and team-player to join their team to assist with essential developments of data visualization and BI solutions.

You'll be joining a team that value ambition, enthusiasm and a genuine passion for finding innovative solutions for improvement.

The Role

You'll be working alongside a growing team to proactively identify areas for improvement and then effectively put forward your ideas to the department to contribute effectively to the wider company goals.

You will be supporting integral operations within the company like performing data manipulation, assisting building data models and creating essential BI solution documents.

They're offering this role as a hybrid role with 4 days on-site per week.

Your Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate with have some experience across all the following areas:

  • Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders and senior members of the team
  • Assist in the creation of data dictionaries and BI solution documents
  • Extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the data warehouses
  • Perform data manipulation tasks
  • Support in the development of data visualization
  • Conduct data analysis to identify data quality issues and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Identify areas of improvement in code bases and working practices and offer solutions
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest BI trends, tech and tools

Requirements:

  • SSRS / Power BI
  • SQL
  • Ideally some knowledge of SSMS / ETL
